Rehearsals
Rehearsals are every Thursday evening from 6:30-9:00 p.m at the Kentucky Opry in Draffenville KY. Ph # 270-527-3869
Rehearsals times are on a first come, first serve basis.
On any NEW SONG the band needs to learn, will require a Nashville Number Chart, for that song. You can bring one or we can make one for you at a charge of $15.00.
The Thursday night rehearsal is for performers who want, or need to practice with the band. The purpose is to find your key, get the correct tempo, and help you get you accustomed to “performing with a live band“.
It’s a little challenging if you are new to singing with a live band. You must know the song very well yourself. The rehearsal with the band is not time for you to be practicing on the song. You should be absolutely ready before you come to the rehearsal – being able to sing it all the way through, come in at the right time, know where the instrumental breaks are etc.
If you live more than 2 hours away and are unable to rehearse your song on the Thursday night before your competition – call the Office at 270-527-3868 and set up your rehearsal time for Saturday evening about 6:30 pm. The band does a quick run-thru of songs between 6 and 7 pm. If you cannot attend rehearsal on Thursday night you must sing a song that requires very little rehearsal. There is very limited time on Saturday evening before the show.
